This arrangement is an a cappella version of Fanny Crosby's song from Isaiah 1:18 "Though Your Sins Be As Scarlet". This was written during Gerry's sophomore year at Northwestern University, at the request of his uncle, Howard Cox who was the songster leader (choir director) at the Salvation Army Mont Clare Corps. Gerry was the pianist for this group. Howard specifically asked for an a cappella arrangement of the three verses, to be followed by one chorus of "Take Up Thy Cross and Follow Me" written by A.H. Ackley in 1922.
There is a second arrangement of this song on this site, written in 2007 in memory of Howard Cox following his "Promotion to Glory". This new version features original music with piano accompaniment.
